PROPOSED BLOGBURST FOR FRED THOMPSON
[...] Rick Moran contacted me a few days ago and asked me to participate in a blogburst to raise a few bucks for Fred Thompson’s campaign. I think it’s a fine idea and I’m participating. I’ve spent a couple months taking a very close look at the other candidates and Thompson is the person I believe should be in the White House in January, 2009. I believe this not only in my gut but in my head as well. His plans for the issues vital to each of us are detailed and make good sense. He believes the best thing the Federal government can do is to get the heck out of your hair. He wants to keep taking the fight to the Islamists instead of sitting back and reacting to their attacks on us. He believes that the best days of America are ahead of us and that the only way we’ll see them is if we all pull together, as proud Americans, and solve the problems in front of us. These are more than talking points he’s adopted to beg a few votes from the rubes. They’re more than convenient campaign slogans he grabbed a few months ago. These are principles he’s held honestly and seriously for most of his life. That means a great deal to me, and I think that if you gave it some thought, it’s be important to you too. [...]
